galapagos islands tortoise | galapagos island tortoise | galapagos islands giant tortoise | giant tortoise in galapagos island
All of our Galapagos islands tortoise are captive born here in Florida
after many decades of hard work by a small group of very dedicated breeders,
from breeding sized adults that we legally brought to the United States 30, 40 and many even 50 years ago.
Naturalists thought that sailors had therefore transported the tortoises there.
we can only accept orders for them from Florida residents.
* Over the years, and finally some Americans, we have been generous supporters of the Ecuadorian Galapagos breeding project in the Galapagos islands tortoise.
Please understand that the Tortoises we offer hatch right here in Florida, as required by law,
all Florida born and bred Galapagos tortoises must stay in Florida – thank you.
